Responsibilities:

• Carefully sort diamonds according to size, shape, color, clarity, and quality.
• Inspect diamonds using standard gemological tools and equipment.
• Ensure accurate grading for cut, color, clarity, and carat weight.
• Maintain records of diamonds sorted and categorized.
• Work closely with the procurement team to assist in diamond selection and purchasing.
• Collaborate with jewelers and designers to ensure the best diamond choices for each piece of jewelry.
• Stay current with market trends and gemological practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Diamond Assorter or similar role in the jewelry industry.
• Proficient in the use of gemological instruments and diamond grading systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• GIA or other gemological certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
