Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and informative lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on various aspects of gemology.
• Prepare and update course materials, including lecture notes, reading lists, and practical exercises in line with GIA standards.
• Conduct and grade examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students on their career paths in the gem and jewelry industry.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of gemology and incorporate this knowledge into the curriculum.
• Participate in faculty meetings, seminars, and other educational events organized by GIA.

Qualifications:

• A Graduate Gemologist diploma from GIA or an equivalent degree in gemology.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the gem and jewelry industry, with a strong preference for candidates who have teaching experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written) are essential. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Passionate about gemology and education with a commitment to excellence in teaching.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with adopting new technologies used in educational settings.
