We are looking for passionate and self driven Head Designer to lead our Jewellery Design team 

We have two offices one in Mumbai and Surat. Travel once in 30-45 days for working with other teams.

What we are looking for in compatible candidate:

A mix of a well balanced design ability, commercial awareness of market about what works, able to identify market gaps and create them into opportunities, strong communication, who can take the initiative to drive the design team, open to feedbacks and someone who is excellent people person.

Responsibilities:

As a Design Head

Conduct research for the trends and market preferences in the market. Interact with customers, marketing department and merchandiser to gain market understanding and to capture the trends in the market

Focus on innovation and creativity and balance it with core basics to get optimum results.

Create a Design Calendar taking into note about key festive / Season occasions and add if necessary based on trends what could be a potential upcoming time (if any). Work on collections well n advance of 8 -10 months and lead the design team on same.

Create story boards / pictures and give briefs to sales and designers.

Get designs made / modified and accordingly make concept presentations

Train and guide the new intern/ trainee/ GP students and guiding their work and getting them to deliver the best output.

Your Involvement in Product Development (Execution of Samples )

Ensure that all Design creation is market and client relevant, creative, unique, practical, as per the price point requirements, as well as based on manufacturing and diamond guidelines and is competitive USP for brand

Follow through on sample development from concept to approval within the stipulated time and action calendar, sample due dates in coordination with CAD team and Production team.

Ensure all designs; coral designs, CAD (check elevation and shape), RPT, models and samples made as per the quality standards set.

Providing Feedbacks when and wherever necessary not only on design level but on CAD modification to technical aspects in production

Responsible to create the monthly plan for samples project wise, category wise, product wise.

Apart from these, other responsibilities might include customer interactions, merchandising mix etc later.

Technical Skills:

Strong sense of Design process, combined with practicality and feasibility of design.

Understanding of the production process from design stage to final product.

Ability to work on Software's like CorelDraw, Photoshop, If any others, it is an added bonus.

Ability to understand and visualize any given design on CAD software's and discuss the same with CAD team and PD team
