About us

K. Girdharlal, better known as KG, was established in 1967 as a diamond trader. It was in the early 1990’s that we turned our focus to cutting and polishing diamonds in India’s diamond capital, Surat. We are now proudly one of India’s leading diamond manufacturers, housed in the industry’s first Platinum facility rated by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

The company is still family run with an extensive reach across the entire supply chain and is represented in each of the main diamond centers, With over 2,500 employees across the globe we all share the singular vision of being the world’s most efficient and effective diamond company across the value chain, from rough sourcing, optimal manufacturing, direct polished distribution, to creative and innovated jewellery design and manufacturing.

As a family concern, we are proud to have our fourth generation entering the business. Our company values remain as true today as they were when we started in 1967, in that “there is more to making diamonds”, the benefits we can achieve for our employees, our partners, our society and our environment.
