Responsibilities:

• Oversee the acquisition, storage, and handling of gemstones.
• Ensure the authenticity and quality of all gemstones purchased.
• Manage relationships with gemstone suppliers and negotiate contracts.
• Develop and implement inventory management practices.
• Train and oversee a team of gemstone handling and quality assurance staff.
• Collaborate with design teams to select appropriate stones for jewelry pieces.
• Stay updated with market trends and technological advances in gemstone processing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Gemology, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the jewelry industry.
• Strong knowledge of different types of gemstones and their grading.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
