Job Description
We’re seeking a Senior HR Manager with strong end-to-end recruitment expertise and proven experience in the jewelry industry. You will lead talent acquisition, strengthen HR foundations, and serve as a strategic partner to leadership. This role blends hands-on recruiting with broader HR responsibilities (employee relations, performance, compensation benchmarking, compliance, and culture).
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
* Own full-cycle recruiting for corporate, retail, and manufacturing roles: sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
* Build talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles (e.g., bench jewelers, CAD designers, gemologists, store managers, merchandisers).
* Develop and manage recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, source of hire, DEI goals).
* Partner with hiring managers to craft role profiles, competencies, interview guides, and structured assessments.
* Lead employer branding, recruitment marketing, and campus/trade school partnerships (e.g., GIA, jewelry trade programs).
* Manage agency relationships and negotiate competitive terms when needed.
HR Leadership
* Advise leadership on workforce planning, org design, succession planning, and compensation structures specific to jewelry retail/manufacturing.
* Enhance HR policies and processes: onboarding, performance reviews, employee relations, engagement, and compliance.
* Coach managers on feedback, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
* Oversee HR systems (HRIS/ATS) and ensure accurate data and reporting.
* Champion a values-driven, inclusive culture aligned with craftsmanship and customer service standards.
Requirements
* 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on recruitment, including 3+ years in the jewelry industry (fine jewelry preferred).
* Demonstrated success hiring specialty roles: bench jewelers, setters, polishers, CAD/3D, gemologists, QA, sourcing, retail leadership.
* Solid grasp of compensation benchmarking and incentive structures for retail and skilled trades.
* Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance (multi-state preferred).
* Experience building or optimizing ATS/HRIS and hiring processes at growth-stage companies.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influence skills; comfortable advising executives.
* Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into decisions and actions.
* Certifications (PHR/SPHR/SHRM) a plus; GIA familiarity or credentials are a plus.
