• Cuts, trims, shapes and smoothes jewellery stones, pearls, and metal pieces, using abrasives, grinding stone and power and hand tools.
• Soldering, linking, fitting and assembling skills.
• Basic skill of filing control on gold loss
• Removing sprues from the cast jewellery piece and rectifying casting defects
• Work with QC department to make sure QC is followed.
• Responsibly use the files for cutting, shaping, and smoothing metal without metal wastage.

Requirements

• Knowledge of different types of abrasives for filing, casting defects such as porosity, blisters, bubbles, cracks, etc. 
• Knowledge of various jewellery grinding, filing and assembling processes
• Ability to use different types of tools for different end results
• Ability to achieve final output as per design requirement with minimum precious metal, diamond and stone loss
• Ability to match design to piece
• Ability to assemble different parts of jewellery piece with required flexibility and durability.
