Malabar Gold and Diamonds is looking to hire experienced Senior Staff for Sales Role in Chennai. He or she must be passionate about customer engagement and sales.

Responsibilities

-Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.
- Advises customers by providing information on products.
- Helps customer by providing proper selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
- Ensure Customer satisfaction in each sale
- Bill the product
- Enroll maximum customers in scheme
- Work hard to achieve targets set for diamond sales
- Train team members on diamond sales
- Educate customers on diamonds
- Co-ordinate with MBMG.
- Ensure that his team is displaying the items perfectly and correctly
- Lead sales team effectively
- Ensure that sufficient number of employee is present in his section always. If not, inform the Sr. Sales Manager/Sales Manager and make the necessary arrangements
- Observe the behaviour of his team with the customers. If there is any fault or mis-behaviour give instructions and advise him to behave properly
- Ensure that there is no dead stock in his section. If any inform the Sr. Sales Manager/Sales Manager and take measures to sell or change the items
- Ensure that each sales employee in his section is following the company’s code of conduct
- If there is any doubt about a particular product or item consult with the Sr. Sales Manager/Sales Manager
- Ensure that each sales executive and sales executive trainee under him is punctual
- Watch the advertisements given by the competitors and discuss this with his superiors
- Ensure that there is sufficient number of employee available in his counter even at the time of lunch break
- Always keep the selection and stock in the section balanced
- Participate regularly in the Managers meeting and ensure that decisions are implemented
- Must be accurate in tallying the stocks.
- Should possess the skill of identifying the quality of gold by manual testing as well as by using the Gold check karat analyzer
- Dealing very politely with customers bringing old gold
- Must be aware of the cheating prevailing in the market and should be in a position to inform management about this
- Assist in BTL activites
- Should possess the ability to identify various marks seen in gold ornaments
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management
