Should have knowledge on location & contacts to purchase metals 

Should know about the  market standard and should be aware of current markets

Should have a good network of vendors 

Needs to understand pricing structure of different kinds of Jewelry.

Strong Negotiations Skills & thorough understanding of jewelry field.

Should know how to do QC
