Job Description

• Product Assortment Planning: Collaborate with the design team to develop and curate the jewellery collection based on market trends, customer preferences, and sales data analysis.
• Market Research and Trend Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and consumer demands, and utilize the insights to inform product assortment decisions.
• Product Development: Work closely with the design and production teams (also design products) to translate market insights into new product concepts, ensuring a balanced and appealing product assortment.
• Pricing and Profitability: Set pricing strategies for different jewellery pieces based on factors such as production costs, market positioning, and competitive landscape, aiming to maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, analyze sell-through rates, and collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Merchandising Displays: Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create appealing displays and showcases that enhance the presentation and marketability of the jewellery collection.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source new jewellery pieces, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain strong business relationships.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment on product strategies, timelines, and promotional activities.
• Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all jewellery pieces meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations.

Skills

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Jewellery Merchandiser cum jewellery designer.
• Strong knowledge of jewellery trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and marketable product selection.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.
• Proficiency in inventory management and demand forecasting.
• Familiarity with pricing strategies and profitability analysis.
• Good knowledge of jewellery production processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
