Privacy Policy

How Mintly collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Who we are

Mintly operates a job board for the jewellery, gemstone, precious metals, luxury retail and D2C sectors. This policy covers www.trymintly.com and every service reachable from it. It applies to both job seekers and employers.

If you have a question about anything here, write to support@trymintly.com and we will answer.

Information we collect

We collect three kinds of information: what you give us, what we record as you use the service, and what we receive from services you connect.

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password hash, and whether your email is verified.
  • Job seeker profile: work experience, skills, education, preferred roles, preferred locations, expected salary, and any résumé you upload.
  • Employer profile: company name, company details, logo, gallery images and the contact person for the account.
  • Applications: which jobs you applied to, when, the status an employer set, and any interview slots arranged.
  • Payment records: plan purchased, amount, currency, gateway payment and order identifiers, and invoice details. We never see or store your full card number: Stripe and Razorpay handle card data directly.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, searches run, jobs saved, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and referring URL.
  • Communications: emails we send you, whether they were opened, and which links were clicked, so we can measure and reduce what we send.
  • Google sign-in: if you use it, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We never receive your Google password.

How we use it

  • To run the service: create your account, show you jobs, let you apply, and let employers manage applications.
  • To match candidates to roles and to recommend jobs and candidates.
  • To take payment for job postings and plans, and to issue invoices.
  • To send transactional email: application confirmations, interview invitations, password resets and receipts. These are not marketing and cannot be switched off while your account is open.
  • To send job alerts and product updates, which you can turn off at any time from your email preferences.
  • To detect fraud, abuse and automated scraping, and to enforce our Terms of Use.
  • To understand how the product is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.

What employers can see

When you apply to a job, the employer who posted it receives your profile, your résumé and your contact details. They can see the status they have set on your application and any notes they have written. They cannot see applications you made to other employers.

Your profile is not published to a public directory. It is visible to employers with an active account when you apply to them, and in candidate search if you have made your profile discoverable.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only for the purposes above.

  • Payment processing: Stripe and Razorpay.
  • Cloud hosting and file storage: Amazon Web Services, including S3 for résumés, company logos and gallery images.
  • Database hosting: MongoDB Atlas.
  • Email delivery and analytics: our transactional email provider and Google Analytics.
  • Legal and safety: authorities where we are required by law to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to protect someone from harm.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers in India and, for some processors, in other countries. Where information is transferred outside India, we rely on the processor’s contractual commitments to protect it to the standard described here.

How long we keep it

  • Account and profile data: while your account is open, and for 12 months after you close it, so an accidental deletion can be reversed.
  • Applications: for 3 years, because employers and candidates both need a record of what was applied to and when.
  • Payment records: for 8 years, as required by Indian tax law.
  • Server logs: 90 days.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Most of this is available directly in your account: your profile is editable, your résumé can be replaced, and email preferences can be changed at any time.

For anything you cannot do yourself, including deleting your account entirely, write to support@trymintly.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Security

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and are never recoverable in plain text. Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

Children's data

The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
