Brasilgo is looking for experienced Jewellery CAD Designers with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in jewellery CAD designing. Candidates must have prior experience working with an export jewellery manufacturing unit and should be comfortable developing production-ready designs for international customers.
The role involves converting sketches, references, and design concepts into accurate 3D CAD models while considering jewellery proportions, stone settings, metal weight, manufacturing feasibility, and export-quality requirements.
Strong proficiency in Rhino and Matrix 9 is mandatory.
Responsibilities
Jewellery CAD Designing
Create detailed 3D CAD models for jewellery based on sketches, images, design briefs, and customer references.
Work on rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, and other jewellery categories.
Convert 2D concepts into accurate and aesthetically balanced 3D models.
Develop designs suitable for international/export jewellery requirements.
Make modifications and revisions based on client and senior designer feedback.
Handle multiple design projects while maintaining accuracy and timelines.
Production-Ready CAD
Prepare CAD files that are suitable for casting and manufacturing.
Ensure correct proportions, dimensions, symmetry, and construction of jewellery pieces.
Consider stone size, placement, setting type, metal thickness, and overall weight while creating designs.
Check the design for manufacturing feasibility before releasing it for production.
Identify potential production or setting issues at the CAD stage and make necessary corrections.
Export Jewellery Coordination
Understand the requirements of export jewellery manufacturing.
Work according to international customer specifications and design standards.
Coordinate with design, production, merchandising, and quality teams.
Incorporate customer feedback and revisions accurately.
Ensure final CAD files meet the required technical and design specifications.
Design Modification & Development
Modify existing CAD models according to customer requirements.
Create variations of existing designs in different sizes, shapes, stone configurations, or metal specifications.
Support the development of new jewellery collections.
Maintain consistency across designs within a collection.
Suggest practical improvements where required from a CAD and manufacturing perspective.
File Management
Maintain proper organization of CAD files and project folders.
Follow appropriate file naming and version-control practices.
Ensure final approved files are clearly separated from working/revised versions.
Maintain accurate records of completed and pending designs.
Team Coordination
Coordinate with designers to understand the creative direction of each project.
Work with production teams to resolve CAD-related manufacturing issues.
Coordinate with merchandising or client servicing teams on design revisions.
Respond to technical queries related to CAD models.
Complete assigned designs within agreed timelines.
Requirements
4–5 years of relevant jewellery CAD design experience.
Export jewellery manufacturing experience is mandatory.
Strong hands-on experience with Rhino and Matrix 9 – mandatory.
Good understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes.
Ability to create accurate and production-ready CAD models.
Strong understanding of stone setting, metal thickness, proportions, and jewellery construction.
Experience working with international jewellery designs and customer specifications.
Ability to interpret sketches, images, and reference designs.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle revisions and work within deadlines.
