A Jewellery Merchandiser manages the planning, development, and sales performance of jewellery collections. The role bridges design, production, and sales teams to ensure the right products are developed, priced, and delivered to meet market demand.
Responsibilities
●Plan and develop jewellery collections based on market trends and customer preferences
●Coordinate with designers, including diamond designers and CAD teams using tools
●Manage product lifecycle from concept to final delivery
●Analyse sales data and forecast demand for different jewellery categories
●Decide product mix, pricing strategies, and inventory levels
●Liaise with production teams to ensure timely manufacturing and quality standards
●Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and gemstone dealers
●Monitor stock levels and ensure proper assortment across stores or online platforms
●Work with marketing teams to plan promotions, catalogues, and campaigns
●Handle client requirements, especially for bulk or export orders
Requirements
●Strong understanding of jewellery products (diamond and gemstone jewellery)
●Knowledge of merchandising, retail planning, and inventory management
●Analytical skills for sales forecasting and trend analysis
●Good communication and negotiation skills
●Attention to detail and organizational ability
Basic understanding of design tools like Excel and CorelDRAW for catalogue or product coordination
