We are looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily showroom operations, driving sales performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, a passion for jewellery retail, and the ability to motivate the sales team while ensuring operational excellence. The ASM will act as the second-in-command, ensuring smooth store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Assist in achieving monthly and annual showroom sales targets.
Drive individual and team sales through effective customer engagement.
Upsell and cross-sell jewellery collections and services.
Monitor daily sales performance and implement strategies to improve conversions.
Support local marketing initiatives to increase showroom footfall.
Customer Experience
Deliver a premium shopping experience for every customer.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable jewellery collections.
Build long-term customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
Resolve customer complaints and escalations professionally.
Store Operations
Support the Store Manager in managing day-to-day showroom operations.
Ensure showroom cleanliness, visual merchandising, and display standards are maintained.
Monitor opening and closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and security guidelines.
Supervise billing, cash handling, and POS operations.
Team Management
Lead, motivate, and guide the showroom sales team.
Conduct daily team briefings and product knowledge sessions.
Monitor staff attendance, grooming, and performance.
Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
Foster a positive and performance-driven work environment.
Inventory & Stock Management
Coordinate stock inward and outward activities.
Support inventory verification and periodic stock audits.
Ensure proper handling and security of jewellery inventory.
Coordinate with the inventory and warehouse teams to maintain stock availability.
Requirements
3–6 years of experience in jewellery or luxury retail sales.
Previous experience as a Senior Sales Executive, Team Leader, or Assistant Store Manager is preferred.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused with a sales-driven mindset.
Knowledge of jewellery products, billing, and showroom operations.
Basic computer knowledge and experience with POS/ERP systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and achieve business targets.
