Jewel FX jobs: Jr. CAD Designer in Mumbai

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Junior CAD Designer to join our jewellery design team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in creating high-quality, production-ready CAD models for fine jewellery using Matrix 9 or Matrix Gold. The role involves collaborating with designers, merchandisers, and production teams to transform creative concepts into technically accurate CAD models while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and timely delivery.

Design and develop accurate 3D CAD models for fine jewellery pieces, including rings, pendants, earrings, and bangles ● Create production-ready CAD files optimised for casting and manufacturing ● Work closely with the design and merchandising teams to translate 2D sketches, mood boards, and client reference images into precise CAD models ● Ensure CAD outputs meet quality, proportion, weight, and technical standards before handoff to rendering and manufacturing ● Manage and organise CAD file libraries with proper versioning and naming conventions ● Review and incorporate feedback from senior designers and team leads efficiently within agreed timelines ● Handle client revision requests independently, understanding technical constraints and communicating feasibility ● Support the ring configurator product by building modular CAD components for digital customisation workflows ● Coordinate with external manufacturing partners on CAD-to-production requirements as directed ● Proactively flag weight, setting, or manufacturability issues before files go to production ● Continuously develop your skills and stay updated with new CAD techniques and jewellery design trends

● Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on CAD design experience in the fine jewellery industry ● Software: Proficiency in Matrix 9 or Matrix Gold ● Technical: Solid understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes (casting, setting, finishing) and stone dimensions ● Portfolio: Demonstrated work on custom jewellery CAD (engagement rings, pave settings, bezels, multi-stone pieces) ● Accuracy: Ability to deliver production-ready files with minimal rework ● Communication: Can interpret client feedback and translate into precise 3D models ● Language: Basic proficiency in reading English

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Jewellery Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. Certification in CAD Jewellery Design or Matrix Software is preferred.
