Job Description

We are looking for a Junior CAD Designer with 1-2 years of experience in jewellery CAD (freshers with strong jewellery CAD training and a good portfolio are also considered) to build 3D models from client briefs and work under our senior designers at JewelFX in Mumbai.

Responsibilities

Build 3D CAD models in Matrix and Rhino from client briefs, sketches and reference images
Model to manufacturing standards, including correct metal thickness, stone seats, and prong and setting tolerances
Action revisions quickly based on client and senior designer feedback
Work with the production team so designs can be cast and set without rework
Prepare files for rendering and manufacturing handoff
Keep files, versions and revision notes organised

Requirements

1-2 years in jewellery CAD, or a recognised jewellery CAD course with a strong portfolio
Working proficiency in Matrix and/or Rhino
Basic understanding of jewellery construction, including settings (prong, bezel, pavé, channel), shanks, galleries and ring sizing
Accuracy and attention to detail
Willingness to take feedback and iterate fast
Exposure to manufacturing (casting, setting) or a stint in a jewellery factory
JewelCAD, 3Design or ZBrush
Basic rendering knowledge (KeyShot / Matrix render)
