Kira Diam LLP is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end jewellery manufacturing operations during the night shift. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of jewellery production processes, production planning, quality control, workforce management, and operational efficiency. The role requires close coordination with the Design, CAD, Merchandising, Procurement, Quality, and Dispatch teams to ensure timely production, superior product quality, and adherence to customer delivery schedules.

Timings: 7:30 PM – 4:30 AM (Night Shift)

Production Planning & Execution Plan, organize, and supervise daily jewellery manufacturing activities to achieve production targets. Allocate production work among departments, karigars, and production teams based on capacity and delivery schedules. Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of orders. Prepare daily production schedules and ensure smooth workflow throughout the manufacturing process. Optimize production capacity while maintaining quality standards. Team Management Lead, supervise, and motivate the production team to achieve operational excellence. Allocate responsibilities and monitor employee productivity. Conduct daily production meetings and communicate priorities to the team. Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, safety procedures, and process improvements. Evaluate team performance and recommend improvements. Quality Control Ensure jewellery products meet company quality standards before dispatch. Monitor product quality at every stage of manufacturing. Coordinate with the Quality Control department to minimize defects and rework. Implement corrective and preventive actions for production-related issues. Maintain consistency in product quality and finishing. Production Coordination Coordinate with CAD, Design, Merchandising, Procurement, Inventory, and Dispatch departments. Ensure raw materials, diamonds, gemstones, and components are available for uninterrupted production. Track production timelines and communicate delays proactively. Coordinate sample approvals and prototype development when required. Inventory & Material Management Monitor raw material consumption and production stock. Ensure proper issue and receipt of gold, diamonds, gemstones, findings, and other materials. Coordinate with stores for material planning and stock availability. Minimize material wastage and improve production efficiency. Process Improvement Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Improve productivity, reduce turnaround time, and optimize manufacturing costs. Implement lean manufacturing practices wherever applicable. Support automation and digital process initiatives. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. Maintain production records, job cards, and work orders. Generate MIS reports related to productivity, efficiency, and quality. Update ERP systems with production status and order completion details. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturing SOPs, and safety standards. Maintain discipline and housekeeping within the production facility. Ensure safe handling of precious metals, diamonds, gemstones, and company assets. Support internal audits and production inspections.

Minimum 5 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing and production management. Strong understanding of the complete jewellery manufacturing process, including CAD, CAM, casting, filing, assembling, setting, polishing, rhodium plating, and quality control. Experience in managing large production teams and coordinating multiple departments. Ability to work under tight production deadlines. Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with ERP systems and production software. Good communication and decision-making abilities. Willingness to work night shifts.

Graduate in any discipline. Diploma or Degree in Jewellery Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or Operations Management will be an added advantage.
