We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience in the jewellery industry. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing the work of accounting team members, managing daily reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing weekly and monthly management reports.

The role requires someone who can independently manage accounting activities, identify discrepancies, ensure timely closure of financial tasks, and work closely with the management team. Experience handling jewellery-related transactions, inventory accounting, sales, purchases, receivables, payables, and reconciliation will be highly valuable.

Accounting & Financial Management Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Review accounting entries prepared by team members. Ensure proper classification and documentation of expenses, purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting schedules. Monitor accounting processes and ensure timely completion of daily activities. Daily Reconciliation Take ownership of daily bank and account reconciliations. Reconcile sales, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions. Identify discrepancies and coordinate with the concerned teams for resolution. Ensure outstanding reconciliation items are followed up and closed on time. Jewellery Industry Accounting Handle accounting transactions related to jewellery sales and purchases. Understand jewellery inventory-related accounting and reconciliation. Monitor transactions involving gold, diamonds, gemstones, and finished jewellery where applicable. Coordinate with inventory and operations teams to resolve accounting and stock-related discrepancies. Ensure accurate recording of customer and vendor transactions. Management Reporting Prepare weekly management reports. Prepare monthly financial and operational reports. Provide management with accurate information on receivables, payables, expenses, sales, and reconciliations. Analyse variances and highlight unusual or incorrect transactions. Team Review & Supervision Review the work completed by junior accountants and team members. Ensure accounting entries and supporting documents are accurate. Guide team members on accounting procedures and software usage. Monitor pending accounting activities and ensure timely closure. Accounts Receivable & Payable Monitor customer receivables and outstanding balances. Review vendor payables and payment schedules. Follow up on overdue payments and discrepancies. Ensure accurate vendor and customer ledger maintenance. Software & Systems Work extensively on QuickBooks, RightClick, and ADP. Maintain accurate accounting records within the relevant systems. Generate reports and reconcile system data with supporting documents. Identify system discrepancies and coordinate for corrections.

3–5 years of total accounting experience. Minimum 2–3 years of jewellery industry experience is required. Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation. Experience handling jewellery sales, purchases, inventory, receivables, and payables will be preferred. Previous experience reviewing junior accountants or managing accounting activities. Strong MS Excel and accounting software skills. Ability to work independently during the night shift. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

B.Com / M.Com preferred. CA Inter, ACCA, or other accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.
