Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Jewellery Production & QC Executive with 2–3 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing and production coordination. The candidate will be responsible for checking the quality of jewellery at different stages of production, preparing accurate jewellery estimates, coordinating with in-house, diamond, and factory teams, and ensuring that customer orders are completed within the required timelines.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of lab-grown diamonds, jewellery manufacturing processes, production tracking, and quality control. Strong coordination skills, MS Excel knowledge, and the ability to work with production software are required. Experience with SJE Plus will be an advantage, while candidates should be willing to learn and work on the software.
Responsibilities
Quality Control
Check the quality of all jewellery products before moving them to the next stage or dispatch.
Conduct quality checks at different stages of jewellery production.
Inspect jewellery for finishing, setting, polish, dimensions, workmanship, and overall product quality.
Identify manufacturing defects and coordinate with the concerned team for corrections.
Ensure finished products meet approved designs and customer requirements.
Coordinate with the QC team to resolve quality-related issues.
Jewellery Estimation
Prepare accurate jewellery estimates based on product specifications.
Calculate and verify jewellery weight, metal requirements, diamond details, making charges, and other applicable components.
Share estimates with customers and internal teams.
Ensure estimates are accurate and updated whenever there are design or specification changes.
Production Coordination
Coordinate daily production activities with in-house teams, diamond teams, and factory teams.
Follow up on production orders and ensure work progresses according to the planned timeline.
Track each order from production initiation through completion.
Coordinate with relevant teams when orders are delayed or require clarification.
Ensure production priorities are communicated clearly to the concerned teams.
Order Tracking
Maintain an updated record of all active production orders.
Monitor order status and expected completion dates.
Follow up with production teams on pending jobs.
Escalate delays and production issues to management.
Ensure urgent and priority orders are completed within committed timelines.
Production Records & Documentation
Maintain production records and job-work details.
Update order status, production progress, and job-work information.
Maintain accurate records of jewellery movement between departments.
Prepare regular production and pending-order reports.
Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Cross-Department Coordination
Coordinate with Design, Production, QC, Diamond, and Dispatch teams.
Clarify design or production requirements before manufacturing begins.
Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure approved and quality-checked jewellery is ready for delivery.
Communicate customer requirements and revisions to the relevant teams.
Production Issue Resolution
Identify production-related problems and coordinate with the concerned team for resolution.
Escalate major quality, production, or timeline issues to management.
Follow up on rework and ensure corrected products are rechecked.
Help identify recurring production issues and suggest improvements.
Requirements
2–3 years of relevant experience in jewellery production/manufacturing.
Good understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of lab-grown diamonds, including shapes, sizes, specifications, and basic diamond grading.
Experience in jewellery quality checking is preferred.
Ability to prepare jewellery estimates accurately.
Experience coordinating with production, diamond, design, QC, and dispatch teams.
Strong follow-up and order-tracking abilities.
Good knowledge of MS Excel.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Willingness to learn and use SJE Plus production software.
Education Requirements
Graduate in any discipline.
Diploma/Degree in Jewellery Design, Jewellery Manufacturing, Gemology, Production Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
Candidates with strong practical jewellery industry experience may also be considered.
