Responsibilities:

• To supervise the purchasing activities of the department which will involve processes including suppliers information, product evaluations and substitutions, price negotiations and comparisons, quality checks, purchasing, etc.
• To conduct Performance Evaluation of Vendors, a key process of measuring the capabilities and performance of vendor before the expiry of the Contract.
• Obtain necessary quotations that meets the required specification from suppliers.
• Draft, negotiate, develop, and execute supplier agreements.
• Handle statements of work and service level agreements.
• Builds and maintains strategic supplier relationships to help reduce costs and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Ensure all security measures are appropriately armed and locked.
• Responsible for festive/seasonal material planning and execution.
• Able to perform basic point-of-sales functions (i.e. check stocks, receiving of stocks, CRM).
• Prepare necessary documents and co-ordinate with account department to ensure timely payment on the agreed terms.
• Attend trainings and/or attend related trainings approved by company.
• Attend daily staff briefing conducted by store manager.
• To understand whatever related duties or tasks that may be assigned by the company director from time to time.

Requirements:

• Degree in business administration or a related field.
• Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position.
• Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
• Supervisory and management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
