The Senior Inventory Controller will oversee the complete lifecycle of raw materials, diamond parcels, consumables, WIP (work in progress), and finished jewellery inventory. This role requires deep understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to quality, accuracy, and security. We prefer candidates with prior jewellery industry experience, especially those who have worked in a manufacturing or production environment.

Inventory Management & Control • Maintain accurate records of raw materials, diamonds, gemstones, mountings, components, and finished goods. • Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to prevent discrepancies. Implement and monitor strict inventory control procedures for high-value items. • Track movement of inventory across production, QC, packaging, and retail dispatch. Manufacturing Coordination • Coordinate with design, CAD, manufacturing, and QC teams to ensure timely availability of materials. • Track WIP inventory at every production stage (casting, setting, polishing, plating, QC). • Monitor production timelines and ensure materials flow smoothly through each stage. • Collaborate with vendors, karigars, and manufacturing units for timely order fulfilment. Data & Reporting • Maintain updated data on ERP/inventory software; ensure accuracy and real-time visibility. • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory and production status reports for management. • Analyse consumption patterns, wastage, and variance to identify improvement opportunities. • Track and report stone breakage, returns, reworks, and scrap. Quality & Compliance • Ensure all inventory handling follows brand standards, quality norms, and security protocols. • Verify inbound and outbound materials against purchase orders, job cards, and QC standards. • Manage secure storage, documentation, and safe handling of high-value diamonds.Process Improvement • Identify gaps in inventory flow and propose process optimisation for better accuracy and efficiency. • Assist in implementing new inventory tools, software, or automation. • Develop SOPs for inventory movement, documentation, and stock control. Interdepartmental Coordination • Work closely with sales, Accounts, Merchandising, logistics, design, manufacturing, and retail teams. • Support new product development by ensuring timely material availability.

Experience in jewellery industry (fine jewellery/lab-grown/natural diamond) • Experience in inventory control within a manufacturing/production setup. • 3–6 years of relevant experience preferred • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. • Excellent understanding of jewellery components, diamonds, and manufacturing stages. • Proficiency in ERP/inventory management systems. • Strong communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work under pressure and manage high-value inventory responsibly. • High level of integrity, accountability, and discipline.
