Sun Jewels Job: Head Assortment in Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the assorting team to ensure the highest quality standards in gemstone sorting and selection.
• Evaluate and categorize gemstones based on color, clarity, cut, and carat weight.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure that selected gemstones meet design specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of gemstone inventory and quality assessments.
• Train and mentor junior assorters to enhance their skills and efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in gemstone assorting.
• Implement quality control processes to minimize errors and enhance productivity.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Assorter, with at least 5-7 years in the jewellery industry.
• Previous knowledge or experience with SAP is preferred
• Strong knowledge of gemstones, including diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, etc.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is a plus.
