UMA Ornament Jewellery Job: QA Manager for Mumbai

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance goals and metrics to measure and improve the overall quality of our products.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, materials, and finished products to identify any defects, non-conformities, or areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and sales to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and manage a team of quality control inspectors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure proper documentation of quality control procedures, test results, and inspection reports.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to jewellery manufacturing and quality assurance.
• Investigate customer complaints regarding product quality, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate with external certification agencies for product certifications and compliance audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design, Manufacturing, Gemology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in the jewellery industry.
• In-depth knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes, gemstone grading, metal testing, and quality control techniques.
• Strong understanding of industry standards such as ISO 9001 and BIS certification requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to jewellery manufacturing is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
