The CAD Designer will be responsible for converting design concepts, sketches, and ideas into precise 3D CAD models suitable for jewellery manufacturing. The role requires strong technical CAD skills, knowledge of manufacturing feasibility and coordination with design, sampling, and production teams.

Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D CAD models of rings, pendants, earrings, bangles, bracelets, and other categories as per design briefs.
Work using Rhino and Matrix design software (experience preferred).
Prepare accurate technical drawings, dimensions, weight estimation, and stone layouts for 3D printing/casting.
Modify and refine CAD models based on feedback from designers, merchandisers, and production teams.
Check manufacturing feasibility including metal thickness, prong strength, stone setting, shrinkage factors, and durability.
Maintain and update CAD file versions and digital library in an organized manner.
Coordinate with sampling & production team to resolve technical issues and improve design for mass production.
Stay updated on jewellery trends, materials, CAD tools, and new techniques relevant to the category.
Requirements
Strong 3D modelling skills and precision in technical detailing.
Good sense of jewellery aesthetics, proportions, and wearability.
Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings with accurate measurements & stone layouts.
Basic knowledge of diamonds & gemstones (sizes, weights, and setting types preferred).
Time management and ability to handle multiple design projects under deadlines.
Team player with clear communication skills and openness to feedback.

Education Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Jewellery Design, Product Design, or equivalent practical experience.
3–5 years of experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer (for Junior / Fresher level, 0–2 years can be considered separately).
Proficiency in Rhino and Matrix (experience with JewelCAD, Z-Brush or other softwares will be an added advantage).
Understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes (casting, filing, setting, polishing, finishing).
