Urgently looking to hire HOD Polishing for Mumbai factory

As the HOD for our Jewelry Polishing Department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department’s operations. 

Your main objective will be to ensure that our jewelry pieces are meticulously polished to perfection, meeting the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of jewelry polishers to achieve department goals and objectives
• Develop and implement efficient polishing techniques to enhance productivity and quality
• Monitor the polishing process and ensure adherence to established quality control standards
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Design and Production, to ensure seamless workflow
• Train and mentor team members to improve their skills and performance
• Maintain inventory of polishing materials, tools, and equipment
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues or defects in the polishing process
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in jewelry polishing techniques

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a similar role within the jewelry manufacturing industry
• In-depth knowledge of jewelry polishing techniques and equipment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions

Skills Requirements: 

• Age < 35 years; 
• Experience in a mid-large jewelry manufacturing facility
• Education: 12th+ Diploma
• Basic Excel knowledge is an added advantage
• Overall technical knowledge of jewelry manufacturing
• Department level follow-ups & can manage workers & supervisors effectively

Working hours: 

9 hours - Monday to Saturday
