Bombay Jewellery is a jewellery manufacturing company based in Mumbai, Seepz producing fine diamond studded jewellery for the international markets.
To assist the growth and expansion plans of the company, Bombay Jewellery is looking to hire a senior person to be the chief internal auditor for all operations.
The candidate should preferably be a chartered accountant (CA) and have in-depth experience with material audits in diamond, precious metal, jewellery or related industries. The candidate should have excellent analytical skills to understand all stock related operations, including purchase, material conversion, exports and losses, breakage. Must have adequate inter-personal skills to oversee audit and MIS teams and interact with all departments related to stock operations.
Head Internal Audit Job Responsibilities will include the following:
- Verifying all stock related transactions are done accurately
- Verifying product weights, incoming, work in progress and finished goods
- Conducting material stock audits daily, as needed, and monthly
- Ensuring processes are put in place to reconcile differences in material weights and balances
- Auditing material traceability, purchasing policy adherence and accounting policy adherence
- Establish and maintain an effective internal audit program
- Identify areas of risk and develop effective strategies for mitigating those risks
- Develop and implement a system of internal controls to prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and misappropriation of resources
- Design audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal control systems
- Lead the audit team in conducting risk-based audits of financial, operational, and compliance activities
- Prepare audit reports that clearly explain audit results, recommendations, and management’s response
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance requirements
- Develop strong working relationships with management, staff, and external stakeholders
Head Internal Audit Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) , ICWA is preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Working with Manufacturing/Production Unit is big plus
- Fluent in English Communication Skills
- Must have a managed team of Auditors/Accountants
