Sara Diamonds Job: Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in the diamond industry. 

The ideal candidate will handle financial operations, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and manage accounting processes unique to the diamond trade. A strong understanding of inventory valuation, cost analysis, and international trade compliance is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to diamond trading.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations affecting the diamond trade.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the diamond trade industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
