Brasilgo Jewel Job: CAD Designer in Delhi
Job Description
You will be responsible for creating detailed CAD models for rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and custom pieces. You’ll collaborate with designers, gem setters, and production teams to ensure designs are aesthetically refined, technically sound, and manufacturable.
Responsibilities
* Develop accurate 3D CAD models for fine jewelry (including prong, bezel, pave, channel settings).
* Prepare technical drawings, measurements, and STL files for prototyping and casting.
* Optimize designs for stone layout, metal weights, durability, and comfort.
* Work closely with design and manufacturing to refine prototypes and resolve technical issues.
* Maintain file organization, version control, and naming conventions.
* Ensure consistency with brand standards and production constraints.
* Support custom orders and client-specific modifications.
* Stay current with jewelry design trends, CAD best practices, and manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
* 2–5 years of experience in jewelry CAD design (fine jewelry preferred).
* Proficiency in Rhino/Rhinoceros and/or Matrix/MatrixGold; knowledge of ZBrush or Blender is a plus.
* Strong understanding of jewelry construction: settings, shanks, prongs, galleries, tolerances, and finishing.
* Experience preparing production-ready files for 3D printing, casting, and stone setting.
* Familiarity with diamond and colored gemstone sizes, proportions, and layouts.
* Ability to balance aesthetics with structural integrity and manufacturability.
* Attention to detail, accurate measurements, and clean topology.
* Portfolio demonstrating fine jewelry CAD work is mandatory.
Education Requirements
Diploma/Certification in Jewelry Design, CAD, Industrial Design, or related field preferred. Talent and portfolio matter most.
