Responsibilities

1. Product Conceptualization & Development:
a. Collaborate with the Design and Merchandising teams to transform creative concepts into market-ready jewellery products.
b. Oversee the complete product lifecycle from design sketches to final production.
c. Ensure all products meet the company’s design, quality, and cost standards.

2. CNC Machining & Execution:
a. Supervise and coordinate with the CNC operations team for engraving, cutting, and detailing.
b. Review CNC programs to ensure they align with design specifications and deliver precision output. c. Identify and resolve any CNC-related issues in coordination with the technical team.
d. Ensure optimal utilization of CNC machines for efficient production.

3. Cross-Departmental Coordination:
a. Act as the central point of coordination between design, CAD, CNC, production, QC, and procurement teams. b.Facilitate regular inter-departmental meetings to track project progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment.
c. Ensure seamless handovers between departments, maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the process.

4. Project Management & Timelines:
a. Plan and manage product development timelines, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
b. Proactively identify and mitigate potential delays through effective coordination.
c. Maintain detailed documentation, including design briefs, material specifications, and production notes.

5. Technical Supervision & Quality Control:
a. Review CAD files, CNC programs, and prototypes to ensure technical accuracy and design integrity.
b. Collaborate with the QC team to validate product quality at each stage.
c. Ensure compliance with international jewellery manufacturing standards.
6. Vendor & Material Management:
a. Collaborate with the Procurement and Vendor teams to source high-quality raw materials (metals, diamonds, and gemstones).
b. Ensure feasibility of designs concerning material availability and cost efficiency.
7. Trend Research & Innovation:
a. Stay updated on global jewellery trends and technological advancements in CNC and CAD.
b. Recommend design innovations and improvements based on market insights.

Technical Skills

1. Software:
a. CAD: Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, or similar.
b. CNC Programming: Fusion 360, ArtCAM, or relevant jewellery CNC software.
c. ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with jewellery production ERP platforms.
2. Process Knowledge:
a. Expertise in CNC machining, including toolpath creation, milling, engraving, and detailing.
b. Strong understanding of casting, stone setting, polishing, and finishing techniques.
c. Familiarity with gemstone grading, sourcing, and quality evaluation.
