Key Responsibilities:

• Assist instructors in preparing and delivering course materials, lectures, and labs.
• Provide support and guidance to students on course content, practical skills, and project work.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and practical assessments, and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage and maintain classroom and laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Participate in curriculum development and enhancement discussions.
• Facilitate hands-on learning experiences and workshops for students.
• Support the administration with student enrollment, record keeping, and other academic duties as needed.
• Stay updated with current trends and advancements in gemology.

The following is preferred:

• Graduate preferred
• Graduate Gemology / Graduate Jeweller
• 1+ year of teaching, mentoring or training experience
• experience with a Learning Management System (LMS)

Requirements:

• High School diploma and 3+ years of trade experience (preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, preferably in gemology or related subjects.
• Strong practical knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, and other precious materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and faculty.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and laboratory equipment.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
