We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. 

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our accounting department, while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and best practices. 

Experience in the jewellery industry is a plus, as you will play a key role in managing the unique accounting requirements of our jewellery company.

Accounting Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.

• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports and statements, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Coordinate and complete annual audits, working closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve any issues.

• Implement and update accounting software systems, and create systematic processes to streamline accounting operations and enhance accuracy and efficiency, taking into consideration the unique accounting requirements of the jewellery industry.

• Assign and oversee projects, and provide direction to accounting staff to ensure compliance and accuracy in all accounting processes.

• Meet financial accounting objectives by providing timely and accurate financial information to management, and actively contributing to strategic financial planning and decision-making.

• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions, ensuring organized and efficient record-keeping.

Accounting Manager Job Requirements:

• Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager, with a strong track record of successfully managing accounting operations. Experience in the jewellery industry is a plus.

• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, and proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally) and databases. Ability to adapt, introduce and learn new accounting software systems.

• Strong ability to manipulate large amounts of data, analyse complex financial information, and produce accurate financial reports and statements.

• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting processes.

• Strong ability to direct and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with relevant professional certifications being a plus.
